Lately, I've been busy with so many things. Just started college again so I've been having classes daily. Plus, I just got back from Ipoh to attend Mun's cousin's wedding. Hence I really didn't have time to update my blog or even post up my photos! Here are some shots taken during family dinners in Chinese and even Japanese restaurants.

Bon Voyage Cindy

Here we go again, another person to leave Malaysia to further their studies. This time it's Cindy Chew, a friend of mine that I've known for quite some time. If I'm not mistaken, since primary school although we weren't that close. She was heading to UK, the land on the other side of the world from Malaysia. Before sending Cindy off to the airport, we all gathered at her house for one last time to play Pictionary :) I managed to take a few pictures while we were there. As usual Cheong Kar Hoe is never camera shy. He got a special ability to look good in pictures no matter how bad he look on that day.

Look @ how cooperative they are when it comes to board games like Pictionary. David can draw pretty damn well with such time constraint.

The girls made a really awesome gift for Cindy. They put together photos of the times they spent together and gave it to her as a farewell gift :) Shows that there are really no better gift than memories.

Red Devil's Day

Saturday, 18th July 2009. The day I've been waiting for a loooong time. It was the offcial Red Devil's Day! As a Manchester United fan, I felt quite disappointed because Cristiano Ronaldo was not coming over. I've always wanted to see him play real life. With his pace and agility it would be easy to run pass all the Malaysian players ;) haha. Oh well, my wish did not come true. It doesn't matter cos Cristiano Ronaldo is not my favourite player. As long as Wayne Rooney is there I'm a happy boy. I like Nemanja Vidic too but too bad he was a no show as well. DAMN IT! The traffic was terrible that day! Luckily Jin got us a special parking. And the crowd! It was as though a big troop of red ants was marching towards the stadium. Something that surprised me was, people actually dared to wear Manchester United's rival jersey. Liverpool? Chelsea ? Arsenal? I went for the 1st match on Saturday where Man Utd won 3-2. As a Malaysian, I was amazed by how our Malaysia team played. They played quite well and Man Utd had a little trouble handling them. Although I'm a Red Devil fan, I was actually supporting our Malaysia team too. Maybe not only me, the people around me too was supporting our Malaysia team. I finally got to see my favourite team play! My dream now is to visit the Old Trafford stadium! One day I will make this come true! :)

The Historical City

Yes yes I know its Melaka again. Everyone is going to Melaka nowadays and most of them have 1 day trips. Since it is such a hotspot, my friends and I decided to check out what so great about the historical town. Everyone who has been there was telling me that its a must to walk around the Jonker street and have their superb cendol. YES THE CENDOL! The girlfriend of mine, Chiah Mun Mun has been bugging me to bring her for the Sago Cendol. Well, to start it off, I would like to write more about what happen before we reach Melaka. The plan we had was, 2 cars with 7 people. Emma Louise was driving her car and Jin Weng was driving his. All I can say about Emma is, SHE IS ONE HELL OF A DRIVER! Basically, she drove her car with constant speed of 160 kmh! Pity those passengers that was with her :). Lets move on to Melaka now :D.

Welcome to Jonker Street. err or should I say Jonker Walk ?

The picture above was taken from a famous shop in Jonker Street. I am sure for those who went Melaka, has been to this shop and has taken a picture of that thing also. I'm not too sure whether this shop makes the best cendol in Melaka, but it was one hell of a crowded place. I am a big fan of durian so I ordered the Durian Cendol and the rest ordered Sago Cendol. Emma and Mun was our "so called" food reviewer for this trip.

Picture above is one of the chinese temples around the Jonker Street. Basically, there were a lot of chinese temples around Jonker Street. Most of them have nice architecture but I personally like the one above. They even have a mosque in Jonker Street, below are the pictures of the mosque. We walk A LOT around Jonker Street and everyone was damn exhausted.

We spend almost our whole morning in Jonker Street and its time to move out from there and head to the Red Building a.k.a Stadthuys. We decided to rest here after a long walk in Jonker Street. There, they have this small stall for tourists to take pictures with reptiles but of course, they want the $$ first. They have 2 big snakes which is really really big and a big iguana and if you want, you get to touch it and they will put 1 around your neck just for you to take a picture. I was not allowed to take pictures of the reptiles from far. To do so, I have to even pay for it. Well I guess most of the things in Melaka we have to pay :). Below are pictures of the Red Buildings.

After resting, we walk walk walk and WALK throughout the whole journey. We went to the famous A' Famosa and walk up to St. Paul hill. It was really creepy and it gave me goosebumps just by walking in the area. Maybe because they are very very old buildings.

When walked down, our group split into 2. Emma, Dian and Oliver went back to Jonker Street to have their tea break and Jin, Ezreena, Mun and I decided to keep walking and visit the Istana Kesultanan Melaka. Yes we have to pay for this again! Basically, everything inside was all mannequins, dressed up with those traditional costumes (think Hang Tuah). Below is a picture of the building from outside.

On the way home, I managed to take a picture of sunset. I ended my journey with this sunset :) You readers must be wondering why I didn't eat Melaka's famous chicken rice ball. Well to be honest, I find that the chicken rice ball is nothing special. All they do is to make the rice into a shape of a ball.

Putrajaya Entourage

Putrajaya is known for its creative architecture. I decided to pay a visit to Putrajaya with my friends or should I call it a photography trip. The designs they have there amazed me, even the lamp post there is so nice! The office buildings are totally amazing :). I like the part where they have really wide pedestrian walkway. Too bad there are barely anyone walking there haha! How I wish Subang Jaya could be like this! LESS JAM and LESS HIGHWAY!

Not too long ago, my family and I (plus my awesome girlfriend) headed for a one day trip to Bukit Tinggi, just for a getaway from the excruciating heat here. We decided to have our breakfast before heading uphill so we stopped by at Taman Melati to have our breakfast.

Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa.

I heard that Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa served awesome nasi lemak but for me, it was just like any other nasi lemak you can get from any stall. The sambal they served was a little too sweet for my liking. People who like their sambal sweet might like it.

Went to the Butterfly Park with Kar Kien and his friends. The following are photos I took on that day. I learned my lesson to NOT depend on GPS too much. We got led to all sorts of places because of that thing! We then decided to use the old school way by following the signboards. on top of that, we used to GPS too just in case. We managed to reach @ the Butterfly Park before it closes. I basically took whatever I see inside the park, so don't be surprised if you see flowers and tortoises.

Wondering why am I calling the place Cow Car Water? I translated it from Cantonese to English, Ngao Che Sui. The only thing I can say is that it's a nice place located in Ara Damansara. Didn't get to take that many photos tho. First pic was taken there. Bumped into long lost friend Crystal Chow too. Btw, I think Papa Rich is much better than Old Town White Coffee. The hazelnut white coffee was amazing. The rich taste of hazelnut was awesome with coffee. Well, you readers can give it a try.

In conjunction with father's day, my family and I went out for a buffet dinner at PJ Hilton. Me, as a loving boyfriend, dragged my girlfriend along with us since she's like family already.

No, I didn't go because I'm a die hard fan of that crime fighting boy, I went because of this fella.

Yes, for the person wearing the costume a.k.a ~~jinweng~~. Plus, my nephew is THE die hard fan. I brought my nephew and another big kid there as well.

During the lunch break, we walked around MidValley and went towards Gardens. My dear friend Yeo Han Choong, was having fun snapping pictures in Gardens till he got warned by the security!

When we got back to the event, there were another event happening nearby. It was some sort of gaming event and we went there to check out the PS3 and girls in cosplay, dressed up as Chun Li.

Midnight Makans

It is a routine for my friends and I to go out occasionally for random makan sessions in the middle of the night. This post is just one of the many. Taken in the food court in SS2 and Williams. We had our great fattening session with Ikan Bakar, Grilled Sotong, ABC, Spaghetti Meatball, Butter Prawn Indoo Mee and Nasi Goreng Kampung Ayam Pandan. The best part is, now I get to capture them in photos and tempt you readers as well.

There were wayy too many random midnight makan sessions with jin weng that I lost count long time ago. He has always been my loyal buddy when it comes to random outings. Unfortunately, he's leaving for his further studies next year so there wont be as many outings as we have now.
